Read the pricing guide thoroughly as it covers different gown silhouettes and design detail combinations. This pricing guide is the starting point to the “standard set of alterations,” which are the most basic alterations that nearly every wedding gown needs. The standard set of alterations does not cover custom work, structural changes to the gown, or designs changes. Please note that your gown could need (or you may want) more than the standard set of alterations. Price ranges may be more than listed depending on the level or depth of detail on the gown and inner construction. Any term with an “*” has a description of the term towards the bottom of the page.

*Bodice side seams start at the underarm and run down to the waistline. Past the waistline down to the hips are considered hip adjustments, which are separate alterations from the “bodice side seams” within the “standard set of alterations.”

*Horsehair trim: Is a flexible plastic trim that is often found on the underside of wedding gown hemlines. It’s purpose is to shape the hem edge of the gown.

*An invisible hemline: Is a hemline (bottom length of the gown) where you cannot see any visible stitching. The stitch line is hidden from the eye’s view, giving the bottom edge of the gown a very clean aesthetic. Most invisible hemlines are designed with horsehair trim on the inside of the fabric to give the bottom a clean and crisp shape.

*All alterations, custom work, and redesigns are always subject to KY sales tax, which puts an additional 6% on the total cost.
